RCG SITHGAM001 Provide responsible gambling services

Completing the SITHGAM001 - Provide responsible gambling services (RCG) course is a requirement of the Gaming Machines Act 2001 for proposed hoteliers, managers, gambling room attendants, casino workers and security officers who will have gaming related functions as part of their job responsibilities.
The SITHGAM001 - Provide responsible gambling services Unit of Competency is the foundation for mandatory training on responsible gambling for new hoteliers, secretary managers and gaming-related staff.
The RCG course helps to promote safety (harm minimisation) in venues where there are gaming machines, including how to recognise gambling problems and addiction.
The RCG course covers a range of topics, including:
- Introduction to gambling in Australia and NSW
- Gambling laws
- Harm minimisation
- Gambling signage
- Gambling inducements, prizes and cash
- Gambling and Minors
- Responding to potential problem gamblers
- Steps in getting your RCG card
Nationally Recognised Training

DURATION
This is a one-day course completed in a classroom with a Trainer and Assessor using online resources. Students are required to complete theory and practical assessment tasks.
The course duration is from 8.30am to 4.00pm
During this time students will complete learning activities and assessment tasks.
Students are required to complete 3 hours of pre-reading before attending the course. These resources will be made available to you upon completing the enrolment process. There are no exemptions from this course. RCG training undertaken interstate is not recognised in NSW.
